About us

Mad Squirrel Watford is a vibrant bar just off the High Street in the very heart of the city. Its industrial chic interior features custom designed graffiti walls as well as cosy low lit areas, a perfect location for a great experience any time, any day of the week.

We serve an extensive selection of Mad Squirrel beers on tap and in cans for drinking in or taking away, all brewed locally in Potten End, Hertfordshire.

Choose from the established favourites in our Core Range or explore the Occasional and Limited Release beers that are continually on rotation. There’s always something new in, so there’s always a reason to visit.

Can’t get to the taproom? Then you can also order beer online for delivery to your home.

Food & drink

As good as the beer is, it’s certainly not all about the beer! We have a fully stocked bar serving ciders, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.

And try out our exciting new food menu that takes Mad Squirrel food to the next level. It focuses on high quality fresh ingredients, handmade in our kitchens to order.

We have brand new Raving Dough pizzas, hand-rolled and cooked to perfection in our stone-fired pizza oven. With nine enticing pizza varieties to choose from, there's something to satisfy every palate. Our new dough is fermented for 24 hours, resulting in a light and crispy crust that's irresistible. Alternatively dive into our selection of 6oz smashed burgers or chicken wings, all our meat is sourced locally from our artisan butcher, opt for a lighter option with one of our crisp salads or explore our diverse range of small plates, perfect for sharing (or keeping to yourself!).

What’s on

At Mad Squirrel we love live entertainment. We frequently host local musicians, from solo artists to full bands, performing covers and original music, and there is a regular Open Mic night. Or perhaps comedy, painting, or watching live sports events is more your thing? Check out what’s coming up…
